Our city too often sees height cuts and density decreases to appease aldermen, but we cannot afford to continue turning down market-driven investment. A city charter could prevent this by ending aldermanic prerogative.

Last night, Alderman Hopkins announced support for a ‘compromise’ tower in Old Town. It has 30% fewer units and it’s 21% shorter than the proposal from last year.
It will also have more “family sized” units. Is it possible that the habitable area is the same??
