How come Blender can auto-save invisibly in the background but After Effects has to slap whatever I'm doing out of my hands and pop up a giant progress bar?

Blender is made by a huge company which is the global leader in creative software, while After Effects is a small grassroots open-source project run by a non-profit
DaVinci Resolve does the same silent saving as Blender, after each operation you do, yet Premiere has to stop and display a progress bar whenever you remember to save! Adobe really don’t feel the need to innovate, and are falling behind. Modern software is expected to do this!
One cares about being a better program at its core and the other has sat happy as the dominant software suite for far longer than it should have. Guess which is which.

...oh wait
After Effects: WERE YOU RAISED IN A FUCKING BARN?
They really need to just rip the band aid off and do a "reboot". With all their software, really. It's all so bloated and slow now.
