Jorge Polanco and Mitch Garver had 2 of the worst hitting seasons I’ve ever seen after being 2 of the most efficient Twins in recent history. The Mariners have done nothing but ruin hitters the past few years. I think it’s worth a shot.
Polanco was playing on one leg and Garver has a history of alternating good & bad years. Several other hitters have come to Seattle and done well, recently. Robles, Arozarena, Turner, Raley, and Suarez come to mind. France used to be good for them, but the last couple years just haven’t gone well.
Seattle failed to make the playoffs last year because their hitting as a whole was among the worst in baseball. A team that was made up of players who had success elsewhere
Outside of Raleigh ever single hitter performed below expectations
He was injured in the second half apparently overhauled his swing over the offseason. Certainly not exciting, but for a non-guaranteed deal I don’t mind taking a shot.
