multilingual campaigning should be the norm in *far* more places than it currently is, and it should be a much stronger norm in the handful of places where it actually is common to see multilingual campaigning (most common in NYC, and even there it's not common enough)

It's incredibly prevalent in Florida because of Cubans history with the Republican party and I wonder if in a weird way Latinos becoming a swing block doesn't help lessen the potential pushback when Dems produce non-English campaign materials

the expense of translating your website and maybe some of your lit into every language spoken by more than 1% of your constituency is probably worth more votes than the marginal ad spending you'd otherwise be getting with that money

I make a point of translating for the brands I work with--be more local!--but it is a !@#$ headache given the average startup is pushing three to five web updates/changes a week.

Sidenote: If you don't have a spanish privacy policy and T&C's, then you aren't trying hard enough.
