while I understand why it's been the preferrred path for a lot of white collar unionisation, joining a big traditional industrial union just looks like an error in retrospect if even leadership that won through non-trad support won't repay them.

I'm not trying to be huffy, I'm just trying to make sure disinformation isn't being spread. There's a lot of criticism of Fain going around and some of it is just based on incorrect info!

I will keep making the point that all three of the most prominent abduction cases are of union members—Khalil is UAW, Öztürk is SEIU, Abrego García is SMART—but only two of the unions are fighting.

The building trades unions in more and more of the US are majority Latino. It would be idiotic for them not to fight for KAG.

I am hoping fervently that Latinos will see that Trump and Republicans despise them, even as they used them for their votes.

Yeah, the tarrifs are merely terrible economic policy, the Khalil/Garcia/general persecution of immigrants and dissidents stuff is a moral outrage and a threat to freedom.
