I like this one. Simple. As the ruling class seems often to base its status on the dodgy ethics of anti-democracy bad economics in the conservative style, I suppose another version is support for authoritarian government to defend conservative economic views from voters, democracy, "leftism."

I think sometimes the more complex version is a bit more general and may encompass as well those as in the USA, for example, who see fascism not as supporting the ruling class but as fighting a ruling class whose status is not based in bad economics in the conservative style but in democracy.

I suspect some fascists in the US suppose that by eliminating democracy and introducing a conservative, right wing authoritarian government, the current status quo or establishment created by voters, democracy, interfering with or distorting markets, will be replaced by a better, more proper one.

Those are the fascists one suspects may one day face a Night of the Long Knives scenario, as one assumes the dominant strain of fascism, the strain with the most money and guns, must be the status quo, establishment strain, which may need to enforce its will on party malcontents at some point.
