Yes! The tax rate corporations pay needs to be tied to how the treat their workers. Want to pay your CEO 500 times your workers, enjoy you 50% tax rate. We will need that revenue to pay for the food assistance and rent support your employees need. Then tax the shit out of the CEO too! #taxtherich

Anyone working full time should receive a wage sufficient to not require state benefits. They would become contributors rather than recipients of state funding and gain the dignity that their work is valued.

Well said. Yet another way money acquires money from the state by the back door. The Tories did an excellent job of it and Covid support & contracts was a godsend for them at that time. Landlords the same with tenants in receipt of benefits. The whole system needs a redesign.

My brother and I were discussing this yesterday and concluded that the business growth factor was a part of the problem. If a company makes a profit, but less than the previous year, they didn’t “grow” so they see it as a loss. In our opinion a loss is not making a profit. Don’t worry about grow.

A “livable” wage is open to interpretation. I know people who make 6 digits a year, but they cry poor because they don’t know how to manage money or they don’t have the self discipline to live within their means. But over all I do agree employers shaft employees.

Why? Because the rule is always “socialism for the rich, capitalism for the poor.” Not many of these companies could survive without stealing huge amounts from the taxpayer. The biggest whining, entitled scroungers. Elon Musk is their American poster boy.
