I made this because I love learning new things. QR codes are full of fun things to learn: error correcting codes, character encodings, and a little Japanese to read JIS X 0510. I also made a custom GIF, PNG, and SVG encoder so that the output files are small.

I was annoyed by how generators usually don't even let you set the error correction level, so I added a bunch of knobs you can tweak. If you're interested in the inner workings of QR codes, these websites were very helpful:
