I think it needs to be called something else, because there's a geographical understanding of the EU. This framework should be EU plus for countries such as UK, Iceland, Ukraine, but it should called something more global to reach out to other countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc

EU-Canada relations have deepened in recent years and it seems the Trump effect will only reinforce them.

The poll shows Canadians consider the EU will become their *most* important partner in the next 3 to 5 years, replacing the US, which will fall to third position.

I really hope that all those not so bright people who voted to leave the EU, nope no sympathy for anyone of them, even those who now wish they hadn’t, are thinking if Canada is able to join we really will be left out in the cold.
