Because people "dump their stock", that leaves voting shares in the hands of Musk's enablers.

A better choice is to write deep ITM calls against it.

(Also, selling cars just weakens the used market. Which *might* have an impact on the new market, but is mainly just virtue signaling)

The stock is already in the hands of the enablers. Look at the "ratification" vote. I hope enablers end up owning all of it instead of innocent 401k index fund investors.

Brand damage is crucial. Many Tesla owners are hating it. I know a few.

I think the ratification vote passed in exchange passing prop. #6 and #7. I can't prove it, but there was a sudden big shift in institutional vote ratios right near the end. Musk got a nonbinding show of support, they got 1-year director terms and simple majority voting provisions.

I think the big shift came when Musk got on the phone and threatened those investors by warning they would be cut off from opportunities to invest in xAI etc.

I respect the hell out of your blog even if I disagree with some of your politics. That said, I think the next step is zeroing in on the money behind Elon Musk. Elon Musk is a carnival barker imbecile, but Adam Jonas and the people who promote him at MS and who give him money are also criminals.

Jonas, Dan Ives, Pierre Ferragu, Gene Munster, Cathie Wood, and several others are deeply cynical and dishonest. But they are harder targets to hit than Musk and Tesla, which is where I think the focus should stay,

Btw, it's no secret, the money behind Musk comes mostly from US taxpayers.
