It’s ok to cut ties w ppl that support that. You’re not crazy or overreacting (or wrong reacting, aka how they don’t want you to react that invalidates their own/threatens their world view comfort). It’s infuriating to have our experiences negated, downplayed, or dismissed.

I think it’s especially wild as a creative person to see it, after years of seeing ppl consume stories of heroes who would never. Our ideas of “good people” don’t cover for the behaviors displayed, it’s such a 180 of the kind of morals n ethics society says it has. Actions like this do ring loud.

Take extra care of yourself - keep in touch w those that give you a sense of safety & support, do physical care grounding, contact like minded community.
