Former prosecutor here: make them get any warrant signed by a judge. Do not consent to searches! Demand to speak to a lawyer! Do not cooperate in the hopes that it will make things easier because it will not and they will use your own words against you

I went to an informational meeting in CA and found out that if you have a designated “break area” for workers that cannot be seen from the street, then ICE needs to warrant signed by a judge.

So every construction/landscape etc job should be given a designated break room for its workers.

What a concept. ICE showing up to a soup kitchen. It's all just so cruel when you really break it down: it's the state busting poor foreigners and ending their hopes and dreams as they try to get a shot at living the American Dream, 1 meal at a time.

I am not a lawyer. So definitely talk to your lawyer or local pro bono legal services org! But as main highlights, a real search warrant that authorizes entry to your home business will be: issued by a court, signed by a judge, with a specific time limit, etc.

And ICE arrest warrant (aka a warrant of removal/deportation) is not issued by a court or signed by a judge. It does not authorize them to enter private property without your permission.
