But see, the thing is that when you add things like that to something that touts to log things in a similar way as Wikipedia (which involves a certain level of objectivity), others who hop on the page have no way to know that's why the trope is on the page.

I'd say since it isn't implied that anything lethally catastrophic happened, it's pretty safe to say the transformation waves happened, through divine fiat, in a way that didn't endanger anyone. Best imo to delete the note because it's just too speculative and contradicted by what we were shown.

It'd be a logical assumption to make if not for one detail the author seems to have missed: These events were the result of a boon granted by Heaven! And Heaven would obviously have magically ensured no harm came to anyone, because it wouldn't make a very nice gift to our heroes otherwise!
