It's not a romance per se and there's no steamy bits (which I found refreshing TBF) but the book "Legends and Lattes" by Travis Baldree is a friggin' mushy delight. "High fantasy with low stakes" - An orc mercenary named Viv retires to a new city to pursue her dream of running a coffee shop.

The Soul Screamers book series by Rachel Vincent.

Granted, the characters are teenagers, but there is romance (including a burn so slow I missed a lot of it—

—the first time through), supernatural elements that borders urban fantasy at times, and it’s written sincerely without being melodramatic, at least in my opinion.

The main catch is physical copies can be a little tricky to find even though the series isn’t that old (last book published in 2014).

Maybe try reading the webcomic "Tamberlane"? Yeah, it's an alternate 1800s fantasy with anthroanimals who find a little human girl but don't know who she is. But the world is so well developed there, and there are so many layers to a seemingly simple plot. And the visuals are superb!
