What are some ways to keep momentum when you're working on a side project? E.g.:

* Ration the fun work rather than doing it all at once.
* Limit scope.
* Plan out many small tasks.

Do I tell others for accountability? Sometimes I suspect that takes the wind out of my sails, but I'm not sure...
