As a small business owner our entertainment expenses per year range betweem $0 to $100. I do not believe they should be tax deductable. The wwhole idea you have to entertain to get business is wrong. You should get business because you do a good job.

I am not a tax expert but maybe someone on here is…but I think if you reward and employee with hospitality such as a meal the cost (because it is a benefit) is subject to Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT). So you can claim the deduction to reduce tax on profits but then pay FBT. They are 2 separate taxes.
