It is important that people speak out when they are ready to do so. For support to other victims, as they see that they are not alone. Although the scare never heals completely, there are ways to find your way to deal with the traumatic effect.

Angela, thank you so much for sharing this painful story. I, too, was sexually abused as a child, but not to the extent and duration that you speak of. Like you, I also found healing in the body acceptance of non-sexual social nudity. I think social nudity could do much to heal our society.
