it's kinda fucked that I have a pretty old graphics card, but in order to pursue any kind of MEANINGFUL upgrade it would cost no less than 500$ to get a new one

sure, like, I can get a 4060 and things would run better, but I'm only gaining 2 gigs of VRAM for the low, low cost of 400$
they're always better for productivity and plus I just definitely want things like DLSS and raytracing
