Somehow, in light of our new king’s stated desire to take away people’s Social Security and Medicare, I’m thinking this may not be the best time to hamstring social service agencies like churches by taxing them just to bring in a paltry few more million.

Just as they planned -this is why they pushed Bush’s faith based initiatives to get rid of the competition. That way when people are in financial trouble they have to sell their soul to a church to get some food or clothing or whatever- SING FOR YOUR SUPPER BITCHES! Lots of snitches in churches too

Huh. I’ve studied my Bible for twenty years, volunteered at a homeless shelter for a decade. The shelter had rules of conduct, for everybody’s safety. But I’ve never even •heard• of what you’re describing.

Yes some Christians are racist. I don't think that's news. You look for the "truth" that fits your narrative. If you are hate filled, you gravitate to people willing to lead you deeper into that belief. Not enough Christians are speaking out against that and they should.

I attended church regularly when I was young. It's my belief that Jesus would be extremely disappointed in "Christians" today. Most of them lack the capability to adhere to basic fundamentals such as "Love one another as I have loved you" or "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you"
