Have you been to the rest of the world? Other countries that have as much or more diversity than we do are able to manage quite well on this score. Check on the "culture" of most of the people who do the mass shootings, and see if that gives us a clue as to who is having a meshing problem.

The crimes in Mexico are much worse than here. Thailand was bad, Greece was horrible (was there for the 2011 strike & riots). Brazil is #1 for gun deaths. A 2021 survey2 estimated that guns are used 1.67 million times per year in self-defense in the U.S - far more saving lives than taking them.

“God given rights” to own guns? I’m a Christian who attends church weekly and have a reasonable knowledge of the Bible. I’m interested to know where it mentions anything about firearms. Well apart from the book of Armaments from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, that is.

It's not; it's in our Constitution, which was created by a Christian nation. We support God in our preamble, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights.

Free will or agency is in the Bible, in a few dozen places.
