I feel like hands and feet and hair get a (sometimes deserved) bad reputation as stressful to draw but my real enemy is actually mouths. what the fuck is up with those

SO TRUE 😭 I'm *okay* if I draw the same closed-mouth basic pose but if I actually want a proper expression? 🫠 and omg don't even talk to me about when the teeth are supposed to be showing
and if they are open you have to show the other side but not like that, the angle doesn't follow the other side of the face, and part of the teeth should show but not too much, not too little either, did they lose their dentures, and everything goes together or it will look profoundly fucked, and--
I think what works for me when it comes to challenging stuff to draw, is "cheating" by looking at how it gets simplified in more cartoony styles even if my own is somewhat realistic, and then reverse engineer from that
