A year ago today my contract at Phillips Exeter Academy was abruptly terminated without warning without any discussion with my chair or my mentor, in direct contradiction of things I was told explicitly in front of HR.
It was the cruelest bigotry I have experienced.

I was in a toxic environment which I was being gaslit about. I started putting my safety first, thinking I could get accommodations, and instead they wove a fictional tale of me failing to do my job.
If it's any comfort, I have always felt that Exeter sucks.
*my father was a student there ages ago, and I toured it and even applied there, but I'm glad I didn't get in. Don't think I would have gone.
I still can't believe that the gaslighting of students just continues.
