The only time I will ever complain about someone rhyming a word with itself is in Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" where the word he rhymes with itself is "things" in the span of a single measure. But that's also just because I hate everything else about that song too.
"If it sounds good, it is good" I'm sure I got that from some YouTuber. Maybe Adam Neely or Rick Beato? It's good advice, whoever said it first. If you like the song and the lyrics "speak" to you, that's what matters.
