1) Streamelements works on a "Base Pay + New Users" payout, meaning they will pay you a base pay for fulfilling your baseline sponsorship obligations and an additional payment for the number of people you have to sign up. You'll see something like "$300 base pay + ~$20/ new user).

2) The Base Pay is going to be lower than usual sponsorships. For example, Marvel Strike Force is about 30% of my standard rate. These sponsorships expect you to be a salesperson for these products. If your sales tactics are mishandled, you may lose viewers and sew distrust in your community.

God this is such a huge point of all of the sponsorship content I see coming from stream elements. I’ve seen viewership drop for other streamers simply because they got tired of constantly feeling “sold to”, and in the end the payout wasn’t worth the loss of community.

I've literally streamed once in the past 3 months and logged into StreamElements to fix the chatbox. All of a sudden I started getting daily emails about sponsorships. When things are that pushy, warning bells go off.
