It has been years since I drove that route, but it all still comes back to me fresh and new at very special moments, and I wonder if it still exists today, besides in my memory.

With an old white church in the midst of it, and everything covered blanketed in snow, that neighborhood had suddenly been magically transformed into a Thomas Kinkade painting.
It was suddenly beautiful and inviting, and it made my day that much brighter.

As I got to the top of the curve I could look over and see an old, rundown Detroit neighborhood below. Nothing noteworthy about it at all, but on a rare occasion I would get there right after a fresh snowfall and couldn’t believe the sight before me.
