if I should fall asleep
let it be,
the stars
don't interest me, anymore

there is nothing darker
than the absence of light
the deep well
of unconsciousness

the pain in this world
makes us settle
for the peace
of oblivion

still
I hope they twinkle
for other's eyes
mine
are closing down
