I like this more as an expression of the *limit* of consultants. Their judgments of the white workers are right (Samir they fired out of racism), including in particular Lumbergh, but they were hired by Lumbergh so they can't say what both they and we the viewers know, which is that he needs to go.
(Milton is at no point shown as a good worker, and he's a cruel Karen; Michael Bolton both tried to bullshit about the singer and was bad at it and this indicates a worker who wouldn't report problems to the boss; Tom couldn't explain to the consultants what he does so how can he talk to customers?)
