A3: #writestuff I can't really feel guilt about it. The things that happened to my characters are clearly my efforts to cope with the intense evil mankind is capable of.
I think it made the book salable, to be honest. The only two survivors of an elementary school zombie attack finally succumbing because they didn't understand you can't survive by drinking salt water was just too grim.

My characters in the novels usually have low stakes because I want them to be happy. Even if the world around them is literal hell, they do have such awesome support and friends that it never feels like that for them.
It's a central theme.
A3: Yes sometimes I have felt bad for what happens to the characters. But since they dictate the stories to me they can’t blame me, I am just telling it like it’s told to me! #WriteStuff
A3: Never. I love chaos and some of my characters feed on it. It enhances their performance and make them more determine. Motivation sorta speak. And with big egos there has to be big stakes or it's not a challenge. #writestuff

The games will work the same.
If they didn't want to go through stressful things then they shouldn't have gone through stressful things.
