#WriteStuff Q2: Myths are more than tales of ancient gods, they are also stories that are tall tales, or false recollections by a narrator. What about your writing? What is a myth that your characters believe, report, or perpetrate?

A2 Lots! My very first Lollipop comic was about an Ancient Egyptian statue that was cursed, resulting in Lollipop and the gang being sent back in time to Ancient Egypt. In another comic, Peppermint Twist angers the Hawaiian volcano goddess Pele when she steals black sand from the beach. #writestuff
I got the idea from when my husband and I went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. We visited a black sand beach on the Big Island and were told that if anyone removed sand from the beach, Pele would put a curse on us. #writestuff
My MC is the myth.

The bulk of society also has a generic "One God" dictator/church thing going that tries to eradicate all other forms of belief...you know ...the usual.
In NICEF, all of the Aroi venerate Ephraim Merivel's crew for their legendary blockade run that got the broadcast out that ended the attempted genocide against the Aroi. Stefan and Djilia are very much followers of Ephraim's example, and consider his story a model to live up to in their ways.
