i actually work in a field where we have lots of neurodivergent folks of all stripes and often, unless someone self identifies, no one notices. All that matters is that the animals we care for are well cared for.

This youtuber is incorrect. The existence of only two sexes in nature is an empirical fact. Only male and female sexes have evolved as there are only two gamete types. We define what a sex is with respect to a gamete type.
