I love this. The handcrafted HEAs that characters in queer Victorian and Regency romances often have to make for themselves are so poignant.
I was thinking why I love my Victorian boys and historical m/m romance in general and I don't alter the setting to be queer normative (even though I know it's a trend). I keep it the way it was.
Because what fascinates me and somehow feels supportive is the story of prevailing against taboos
