This bubbled up in my mind tonight, perhaps because of the recent death of #LarryAppelbaum, the archivist & jazz broadcaster who uncovered the original 1957 concert recording. A bfd & deservedly so when it was released 20 years ago, for the jaw-dropping beauty of performances like this one. #Jazzsky
