This is really cool. Quick question:

I've got nginx running on WSL and have configured the domain I got from tailnet for the laptop. After adding the domain on hosts file I can access the web app using the hostname. But not from the mobile which is on tailscale as well. What am I missing?

Yes, on the laptop I'm able to access the web app using the full domain name.
Yes, MagicDNS is enabled.

I'm not able to access the web app from my mobile.

I'm also able to ping the laptop's hostname from the mobile and it resolved to IP assigned to the laptop and gets replies.

It's been a while since I mucked about with Windows networking but is the windows firewall (defender firewall? I can't remember) configured to allow inbound traffic on the right port?

I was quite proud of a curated wireguard setup I had a long time ago. Slowly, over a few weekends I got it to work just the way I wanted. All of that was blown away with Tailscale in a single afternoon, and I haven’t looked back. 🔥

Tailscale is amazing. I embedded into one of my projects and after a bit of setup I now have my web app running on a vm protected with SSL mind blown how good it is
