Doesn’t surprise me at all. He’s not popular in the UK party either is he he keeps undermining Starmer - he is a single issue politician and the single issue is the Union

Well, I'm sure Starmer undermines him just as much. One of the main problems Sarwar faces, is he comes out and says "I'm standing up for the people of Scotland, and so are all of Labour." but then every day Starmer shows that he isn't even standing up for any people in the UK, let alone Scotland.

To be clear I dislike both. It also seems like Scottish Labour undermines Labour a lot on the national stage. A good example was when Sarwar and SLab jumped on opposing Glasgow low emission zone to try win votes any way they could - so they went around criticising GLEZ (which is a Tory move)

Meanwhile, poor Siddique Khan in London is trying to implement the exact same policy which was ULEZ- and Labour was obviously promoting it and trying to pass it with Tories opposing it. And they kept hitting Khan with “look your own party is loudly opposing and blocking this same policy in Glasgow”

There are many times this sort of thing happened. It is a strange dynamic to have the SLab vote with Tories all the time in Holyrood against policies that are identical to what the Uk party is fighting to support against the Tories in WM. Then again the SLab MPs never turn up at Westminster do they!

I mean it’s CRAZY to me that Scottish Labour have not ruled out a Labour-Tory coalition for 2026. Forget Scotland, how badly is that going to go down with Labour voters and the left in England! Starmers approval is already so low with everyone - but it is especially low with the left of the party

Media. Print media and BBC Scotland may be in decline, but there are still enough Scots being told what to think by them. The SNP need to figure out how Scots youngsters form their opinions in order to get them more engaged. YES % is riding high in that group, but their turnout is always low.
