Imagin Steam gets over 2 billion members, imagine ;), And they then would say we go bankrupt if we don;t get a bailout.
we will have to bail them out or all our games are gone! this amount of control can never become theirs, cause then we will see prices go up and service go down.

It’s scenarios like this that make me miss origin. Why can we not play the sims in offline mode?! Any time my net was down, I knew I could play the sims regardless.

Yupppp like you CAN play it offline still...but your app needs internet to start up....so if you wake up & turn on your PC & there's no internet, you can't open the app 💀

what i do in such a situation is: turn on the hotspot on the phone, connect it to the pc, open the app, open the game, turn off the hotspot. the game will stay open without internet access. you won't be able to open the gallery, but that's the least of the problems

(at least it works for the sims, I have no idea if other games will work in the same way)

Oooh yeah I'll definitely try that! I just need access to open the damn EA App once then it'll work offline 🙈 As for Steam, I wanted to play Stardew but can't sync my cloud saves so I'll have to wait for the internet for that!

The EA app is one of the biggest mistake EA has done. Origin was completely fine but they destroyed it.

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!

We just got internet back (but I don't know if it'll STAY back) so I just RAN to open the app so at least if we lose internet again, I can still open my game! I even launched Stardew so I can be sure my cloud saves loaded 😂

Yeah I can play it offline, but I can't open the EA App to LAUNCH the dang thing so that's annoying 🙈
