People who have served this country should never have to fear the country taking away their benefits/making it harder to access them. Any attack on veterans' benefits is a betrayal of the contract between those who served and a government that has an obligation to compensate them for that service.

Speaking as a veteran, the veterans benefits system has always been horrific, always.
It's not a benefit system, it's not a service connection system at all.
I shall me explain...
We should switch from a point based, disability system, to a service based system.
Whoever fixes the current horrific 1 in place will make history + truly transform the lives of our phenomenal veterans.
Hopefully, my typos were not too large of a distraction from the important discourse at hand.
For more in depth on this topic I will be happy to explain further if you so desire, with possible, proactive solutions.
It's wonderful you provide the elements to discourse.
The problem is, people do think it's socialized healthcare and so the dynamic is to try to spend as little energy, time, & money on it.
But it actually is not socialized healthcare.
I shall explain....
