I didn't really want to comment on this as it's big BS, but since the alleged Scholz visit to Moscow is now being reported as fact and many people still believe it, I guess I'm forced to do so... Right up front: fake news! Let's have a look at this in detail.

Nowadays I read articles that state anonymous sources or supposition and I immediately skip it as lies.
But this would be a very believable Scholz-action.
He is a ruzzian suck-up since his teenager-days. I don't think he will ever loose this fetish and will always try to slime back to ruzzia.
SPIEGEL is always referred to as the source. The only problem is that SPIEGEL never wrote it that way. Everything that is mentioned in the article (and is clearly marked as such) is a rumour from a member of the CDU party — the direct rival of the SPD in the election!

In conclusion, I would just like to say that there really are enough things to get upset about with Olaf Scholz. You really don't have to create a fake story or present a rumour as a fact in order to create a mood against him.
