Fellow bourbon mavens: this year’s under the radar bottle is Heaven Hill 7 year. It’s smooth and drinkable, has an excellent flavor, and is readily available (including in VA) at about $50 a bottle.

Ooooh I have not. I will look for this, though because we have state run liquor stores sometimes our options are limited. Then again I have a lunch in the city tomorrow…
Related tip for those who don’t know, every Monday starting at 4, Hops n Shine busts out rare/lesser known bottles for $5 a pour. Often they are like $50 bottles you can grab up the street if you like it.
