Disgusting. I do wonder if they're moving to Youtube with their recent free releases on there like "Duck Amuck", but it could be forever and some shorts like the not-Censored Eleven ones with "controversy" will not make it on there.

The Censored 11 will lose their copyright status by 2040. A lot can change in 15 years when the original shorts can be used without restriction, but the characters and trademarks will still fall under WB regardless.

"French Rarebit" for example, the Speedy and Pepé shorts... those are fine by MeTV. When you consider how most at WB want to view the Looney Tunes brand, they want to memory hole what was non-PC as a way to make their brand accessible and squeaky clean to kids. (1/2)

"Egghead Rides Again" was one of a few shorts that appeared on the Warner Bros. Classics Youtube channel before it got unlisted. This should answer. The channel, as well as Generation WB, are run by the same department who handles the WB Kids YouTube page.

For a franchise that is almost 100 years old, WB has been strictly concerned at keeping it entertaining for kids and families when in fact that there is a larger demographic that enjoys these timeless characters day by day. Executives will come and go and WB will keep them alive.
