I would hope people would understand that "playtesting" means "putting a game rigorously through the wringer again and again and again" and not "playing through every mode once and then calling a day".

A gametester who worked for a company came to my school when I was in middle school once and explained that it wasnt just sunshine and rainbows and playing video games without a care in the world
Been playtesting a game for the first time recently and quickly found this out and so far from what I've heard I've given the best feedback. I do find torturing a game more fun than playing through it normally. It's like a treasure hunt that you spend weeks on and do the most absurd things.
If I'm ever asked to play test a game I play through once like a normal and Everytime after that is "hey there it's Josh from Let's game it out" energy

for context, our translation group just got a pretty rude message saying playtesting should take "8 days at most" >_>
like, are you that lazy to the point of saying "playtesting should take a week?"
mfer, playtesting is rigorous and will be long, nothing post development bug-free, there's always bound to be errors in text and gameplay
Just... yikes.
First of all, sorry you had to go through that.
Second of all, eight days? Even Pokemon games take longer than that.
