When they dig up my skeleton they'll use that future resurrection technology from that one scene in The Simpsons and I'll amaze them with my girly ways.
When they dig up your skeleton they will take context clues of your life accordingly because archaeologists value the truth of the lives they study and are respectful of the past
1/ You've accidentally struck one of my hyperfocuses. Given the context of this conversation and the expense of a traditional funeral make sure you tell the people who will manage your posthumous existence.
2/ If you're worried about any living blood relatives causing problems a funeral home will legally go to bat to protect your wishes every time. Listing "I want to be cremated" in your will can also cause problems as frequently the will is not read until weeks after your funeral rites.
3/ also if you don't have a will, I strongly suggest basically everyone make one. Even if you don't have much in terms of stuff, it's better to have it on record than to pass without when you have really specific requests. Many websites will do it for you for like 10 bucks and be perfectly legal
Thank you. I told my mother years ago that I absolutely did NOT want any kind of religious burial, and she very clearly replied that, should I pass away before her, she would 100% disprespect my wishes and make sure I'm buried with the rest of the family according to their religious traditions.
Then they'd be correctly using context clues rather than just staring at bones and making it up, which has been the basis of good archaeology since the discipline began. The fact that terfs don't know shit about anything doesn't change the fact that archaeology is still good and cool!
