I just don't understand how Apple Music's recommendation algorithm is so bad, considering Apple's reputation for, you know, being pretty good with music.

Over the weekend I was driving across the country, wife and kids in the car, so I played a good all-rounder for the trip: Coldplay. You know, the good era before Mylo Xyloto when they knew how to play instruments without flooding the EQ with atmospheric crap and doing bad collabs.
But when that was all over and the wife and kids were in bed, I decided to make a playlist of "beautiful Songs" for work, inspired by Spotify's Most Beautiful Songs In The World playlist circa 2018 when I listened to it a trillion times a day.
I think where they're going wrong is that they think I, as a listener, am only going to be interested in one genre of music per day or something. The playlist can't just be a playlist of similar songs, it's got to add in whatever other shit I've been listening to as well.
Spotify had their algorithm down. It was great. It's just a shame their audio quality is bad and Spotify Connect is the worst implementation of anything since Thomas Midgley Jr invented leaded petrol, CFCs, and his own personal deathtrap.

All it would recommend was Coldplay.
