maybe making cheaper, tighter shows mostly relying on good actors reading from interesting scripts that sometimes reflect society's current issues would make sure the shows are viable and appeal to old and new fans.

Lower decks unfortunately is over and SNW likely won’t make it past S4.

It’s been a good run for Kurtzman but sci-fi comp is stiff. ST needs to catch up with shows like Expanse, Foundation, Dune, Silo, etc.. ST already has a rich universe, it needs good story tellers.
