I found a clothes rack you can put in your tub comes in handy for washing some clothing items at home and hang drying them, or using the washing machine in the communal laundry room but not always the dryer ๐ฐ if Iโm only washing a handful of clothes I donโt need right away and could hang dry

Definitely gonna have to make an Ikea trip at some point.
Some NYC shelters provide a "move in kit" to people who've landed individual housing. Like this: https://bfwc.org/give-support/moveinkits/
I've moved SO many times otherwise, am finally making the ultimate list from my own experiences, right now!
An actual table+chair/s of any kind, to sit down for meals.
Pot/pan set, cutlery set +knife +cutting board.
Shower curtain +rings + bathmat. Bath towel set. Toilet brush +plunger.
Inexpensive, paper-accordion window coverings.
Light bulbs.
Mop+bucket, broom+dustpan
I once had a child's futon pad someone gave me, could be rolled up.
Sleep / Clean / Eat
A laundry bag...
Gawd I hope it happens soon, I'm going a little crazy in here. I just want to get on with things, for better or worse. ๐๐ฝ
