Thought I'd try and draw something in Photoshop and I still can't get over how clunky it is compared to Clip Studio Paint. I'd still like to try one day because the brushes feel a bit more natural, but not today.

I gotta do the reverse! Not that I've tried Clip Studio Paint and found anything clunky, but I'm hoping to give it a whirl one day and maybe switch over from Photoshop.
Definitely try it. I love it. It’s a bit of a learning curve but the app itself is so much more stable and reliable and linework is much more predictable for me. Brushes feel slightly more digital though.
(I am working on an M3 Max with 64gb of ram so it’s not the machine when it comes to PS)
I hear lots of good things! I hate paying that monthly Adobe bill, which just went up 30% to boot, and that whole company has been giving me the willies, lately.
Still using photoshop, illustrator, Premiere and occasionally InDesign so for me there’s value in it. I don’t mind a subscription for something that pays my mortgage.
I hate having to “negotiate” the price down every year.
The good thing about Clip Studio Paint is that it’s designed for drawing.
Wait a tic, you can negotiate the price down? I am terrible at that kind of thing (I've been meaning to negotiate down my phone plan for two years and have not done it), but if it's possible I should do it.
You certainly can on CC. If you’re out of contract go to cancel then click through the screens until you get to offers. Second screen is better than first.
They started making us go to chat recently. But I just ask for a discount and they oblige. I pay ~£30/mo now. Some people managed lower.
