A movie is 20 dollars. That's a 10 dollar per hour enjoyment. A theme park is typically 100 dollars for 10 hours. Similar 10 dollar per hour
So unless the game is giving you less than 8 hours enjoyment it's a far better value.

Unless someone likes movies or theme parks more than video games. You can't break down enjoyment into "this distracted me for longer so it's better".
YOU might think a theme park is a waste. I might do it once per year with my family and form fun memories.

But that's the whole point. People complaining about the price are being a hypocrite
And that's before going into the SNES and N64 era where games were way way more expensive adjusted for inflation.
