Rather than Sudetenland in 1938, the current Putin-Trump "agreement" looks more like the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact of 1939 which carved up Poland between them. Now Russia gets the parts of Ukraine it wants, and Trump gets mineral extraction rights in the rest. 1939 was not stable and 2025 won't be.

Now that the block to a European Army is out of the way (the UK) it is now urgently the time that the EU looks to making NATO a secondary support. The West can no longer rely on the US to support NATO and in fact with Greenland and Canada it may be a threat.

I worry that the whole plan is to allow the three powers of United States, Russia, and China to fulfill wishes of expansion… I.e. Russia take Ukraine U.S.takes Greenland… and China can have Taiwan… kind of a weird realignment of empire(s)
