I’m happy to be corrected on this, but I think that clause was only valid while we were still negotiating our withdrawal. Parl was prorogued prior to the 2019 election & actual final leaving date, after which we fully became a 3rd country with no ‘get out’ clause.

The UK can’t simply rejoin the EU we are a third country .We cannot even look at the possibility until the FTA review in 2026 and will be at their discretion .Invariably there will be conditions and stipulations that would have to be worked through that could take years.In the meantime?
