Privatisation means less money for the NHS. And private hospitals do the straightforward procedures and donβt usually treat people with multiple health issues. So the balance of work in the NHS tilts further towards the more complex ops with patients who will need to be in hospital longer.
Part of the problem is that the public have no conception of how much healthcare actually costs, so aren't prepared to be taxed at a level to fund it properly.
after the us elections i would be nervous about any requests to the public, brexit was another example of public voting, i for one have lost confidence in predicting anything against mans inhumanity to man whoever could have seen don back and nige in westminster, be careful with wishesβ
I have yet to see any public service privatised or hived off into a Trust be successful. I donβt get the fascination with it. It can only be money talks to certain people.
spa medical is a prime example, performing cataract surgery for the NHS.
don't get me wrong,my brother was referred and had it done within 3 weeks, exellent service very professional.
begs the question why the NHS can't do this in house?
spa medical made a profit of Β£71.8 million last year.
What do you mean when you talk BBC about NHS privatisation? Are you against any sub-service that the NHS uses being provided for a fee by a commercial company?
