I called them today about all this. The rep I spoke with only knew about it from his own independent reading. He said they have not been briefed yet about it.
When I told him what I knew, he said, well that makes no sense.

Most of us pay social security tax on every penny we ever earn, but not the top %.
If we eliminate this cap and cap benefits paid out, that will save social security.
